Ho Ho Hoe

Holiday season came early this year, spreading joy and legs.

There’s something about the holidays that makes me despise people less, and tolerate them a bit more. I could stand them in the morning, I could stand them late at night, and the city is a lovely place to stand a one-night stand and flight.

Flush Charming

Growing up, we girls were fed fairy tales and stories of the heroic man who would go through a whole lot of trouble for the one he loves. We nurture that fantasy just so it could blow in our faces as we hit puberty and realize men are a scam. We all wish for a Jack Dawson, but let’s face it, the only trouble involving a board and water your man would ever go for is taking down the toilet seat for you.

Farewell

You gave up as if you were drowning
Will she give you air?
Too bad I don’t swear
‘Cause I’d like to wish her a word or two
Of the worst of you
It won’t get me anywhere

Now it’s hard to move on
But I’ve got to be strong
‘Cause you have

I begged for forgiveness
I begged for repentance
But no
Your heart is too hard
And your love is such a lonely place to go

The lies that you’ve told
And the souls that you’ve sold
For what worth?
Just go
Let me go

You don’t know the half of me baby
Damned and crazy
I’m the fire with which you play
What did you think…?
You ought to get burned one day

It’s for your sins that I’m paying
Games you are playing
You want new, so farewell

Now it’s hard to move on
But I’ve got to stay strong
‘Cause you have

I begged for forgiveness
I begged for repentance
But no
Your heart is too hard
And your love is such a lonely place to go

The lies that you’ve told
And the souls that you’ve sold
For what worth?
Just go
Let me go

You gave up as if we were nothing…
